3) Empat atau lebih indikasi bundar yang
relevant pada satu garis yang terpisah
oleh 1/ 16” ( 1.5 mm) atau lebih kecil,
( jarak dari pinggir ke pinggirnya)
4) Sepuluh atau lebih indikasi bundar dalai
setiap 6 sq in ( 3870 mm2) dari
permukaan dengan dimensi utama
daerah ini tidak melebihi 6 inci ( 150
mm) dengan area yang diambil dilokasi
yang paling tidak menguntungkan
dibandingkan dengan indikasi yang
sedang dievaluasi
a) Only indications with major dimensions
greater than 1.5 mm ( 1/ 16 in.) shall be
considered relevant,
b) All surfaces to be examined shall be free
of:
1) Relevant linear Indications
2) Relevant rounded indications greater
than 5 mm ( 3/ 16 in.)
3) Four or more rounded indications in a
line separated by 1.5 mm ( 1/ 16 in.) or
less, ( edge to edge)
4) Ten or more rounded indications in any
6 sq in. ( 3870 mm2) of surface with the
major dimension of this area not to
exceed 6 in. ( 150 mm) with the area
taken in the most unfavorable location
relative to the indications being
evaluated

MAGNETIC PARTICLE EXAMINATION
PROCEDURE

19 Perbaikan 19 Repair
Indikasi yang tidak diterima harus
dihilangkan dan diuji kembali, untuk
meyakinkan cacat telah hilang semuanya atau
ukuran cacat bisa diterima sebelum dilakukan
pengelasan kembali. Hasil perbaikan harus
diuji kembali dengan metode yang sama
dengan metode awal.
Unacceptable indications shall be
removed and re-examined to assure
complete removal of defects or to
acceptable size before re-welding.
Completed repair shall be re-examined by
the method originally used.
20 Demagnetisasi 20 Demagnetization
Jika sisa magnet di benda uji dapat
mengganggu pada proses berikutnya atau
penggunaannya, maka benda uji harus
didemagnetisasi sewaktu waktu setelah
selesai pengujian. Demagnetisasi bisa
menggunakan mesin MT yang bisa
menghasilkan magnetic flux yang cukup
dengan cara menggulung kabel di benda uji
dan secara bertahap amper diturunkan pada
step berikutnya atau benda uji dipanaskan
dengan menggunakan metode yang sesuai.
When residual magnetism in part could
interfere with subsequent processing or
usage, the part shall be demagnetized any
time after completion of the examination.
The demagnetization may use the MT
machine which produce sufficient magnetic
flux by wrapping the part with cable and
gradually decrease the amperes at the
following step or by heat treated the part
using applicable method.
21 Pembersihan Akhir 21 Post Cleaning
Pembersihan akhir harus dilaksanakan jika
material test magnetic particle yang
diaplikasikan pada benda uji dapat
mengganggu proses berikutnya dan dengan
menggunakan alat yang cocok.
The post cleaning shall be performed only
when magnetic particle test materials
applied on the part could interfere with
subsequent processing and using the suitable
means.
